Anugrah Narayan College-A N College Patna was established in the year 1956 and is situated in Patna, the capital city of Bihar, India. It bears the pious name of reverend leader Dr. Anugrah Narayan Sinha, popularly known as "Babu Sahab", whose patriotism dauntless spirit and progressive ideas have been source of inspiration for the Anugrah Narayan College-A N College Patna. Since its inception, the college has grown remarkably and through the various ramifications serving the cause of education in different ways. It has emerged as one of the premier co-educational institutions of the state of Bihar imparting teachings to almost nine thousand students. Anugrah Narayan College-A N College Patna is most centrally located in Patna at a distance of about 4Kms from the railway station and from the airport.
Anugrah Narayan College-A N College Patna is presently imparting teaching in 21 UG and 22 PG Subjects. After consolidating its academic achievements in the fields of Physical Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities, the institution embarked upon a new venture in the direction of vocationalisation and job-oriented education.
Anugrah Narayan College-A N College Patna offers different Kind of Graduate and Undergraduate courses. Undergraduate courses such as Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, B.Sc (Med, Non-Med, Bio-Tech), BCA, BBA & Graduate courses like Master of Science, Master of Arts and Certificate Courses.
Anugrah Narayan College-A N College Patna has well established Science and Arts faculties and numerous vocational courses leading to graduate and post graduate degrees. In addition to these courses, departments also offer job-oriented certificate and advanced diploma courses viz. Electrical equipment maintainance, tissue culture, environmental audit, functional English, Korean language. Number of teachers working at present is 106 and number of students intake per year is around 5000 for various courses. Many major and minor projects of UGC, DST, DBT, UNICEF etc. have also been undertaken. The college has tie-ups with international universities such as Griffith University Australia and Kangwan National University South Korea.
Placement Cell of Anugrah Narayan College-A N College Patna , which was earlier, set up in the year 2004, activated to its full functioning in the year 2005 after gaining CPE status by UGC. It caters the placement needs of the various students enrolled in PG’s and UG’s courses of the college.
Central Objective of Anugrah Narayan College-A N College Patna a committee comprising of teachers & students has been formed to plan, coordinate & control operations of the placement cell. The central objective is to provide career guidance to students of Anugrah Narayan College-A N College Patna , coordination with the outside agencies and / or companies for the proper placement. The Cell also assists the management of the college in generating awareness amongst students and an image building exercise.
