Odaiyappa College of Engineering and Technology – OCET Theni was given permission by Government of Tamilnadu as per letter No.6181/J1/ 98 Dt 25.03.1998 as per letter no. CEP/Affi/ OCET/2001-02 Dt 14.08.2002 with three branches in Engineering after approval from All India Council for Technical Education on 23.9.1999. The College was approval for additional three courses on 24-05-06 F.No 730-52-334(E)/ Et/99 as follows.

Odaiyappa College of Engineering and Technology – OCET Theni beginning though seemingly humble has gained enough momentum and has reached phenomenal heights at present. We provide Airy and Spacious Class rooms, Well- equipped laboratories. A good collection of books in the Information Resource Center, Various Sports facilities, Comfortable Computer Centre. Education through internet, Website and multimedia, Ample Conveyance facilities. To develop our students’ Potentiality for developing themselves as better citizens, we provide training both physically and mentally.

Odaiyappa College of Engineering and Technology – OCET Theni also make the parents to be aware of their Child’s progress by communicating through the performance report to their residence. It includes the unit test marks, student’s performance in class and the attendance particulars of the student. The present sanctioned strength of each branch is 60. In II Year to IV year 468 students are studying at present. This year we have admitted nearly 300 students in I year (In 6 Branches) so far. Four batches of students have completed their courses in the college.

Vision of Odaiyappa College of Engineering and Technology – OCET Theni existing agriculture belt is to be developed as an industrial belt. Promoters are pioneers in Engineering Education in Theni and rural areas to provide a ray of hope for the downtrodden society. A vision to grow, expand and live up to the expectation of Science and Technology of the future. So far 455 Engineering Graduates have come out from Odaiyappa College of Engineering & Technology Theni from the disciplines of CSE, ECE and EEE. Additional Courses in the disciplines of Bio medical Engineering Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering are proposed. Vision of the promoters to produce Medical Graduates will also materialize shortly.

The hostels are more spacious and have the capacity to accommodate 450 students in each hostel. Computer facility of <Odaiyappa College of Engineering and Technology – OCET Theni has well equipped Air-Conditioned computer labs nearly 775 system with latest configurations that includes IBM, Hp, and Pentium. These systems are accommodated in 10 spacious computer centers, which are set up with a state of the art, interior comfort and higher configurations. Our labs are highly networked and are controlled by a College server, which extends its service throughout all the labs. Moreover each lab is endorsed with individual servers.
