I replaced my old Friedrich unit with a new updated model that was supposedly the same. Even thought it was exceptionally cold around Christmas time in Louisiana, the unit would never cut off. We had to set it at 75-degrees to even get a LITTLE warmth in our cabin. We tried 72 and even 70 and the unit cut on and off every minute or so, but it did nothing to warm up our place. We tried the money-saver mode and it drove us crazy cutting on and off almost less than a minute every time and doing nothing to heat our place. I SHUTTER to think of our electricity bill this and coming months. And when it warms up in the spring and summer I do not know if it will be worth using at all. HAD I KNOWN ALL THIS. I WOULD HAVE NEVER BOUGHT THIS UNIT. IF I COULD I SEND IT BACK YOU BET I WOULD. The unit I bought is EP24G33B with electric heat.

Model CP10G10A SERIAL ACMK01353 10/12/2015 IT HAS GIVEN US TROUBLE SINCE WE BOUGH IT NOT EVEN ONE YEAR OLD. CALLED REPAIR MAN AGAIN TODAY BECAUSE IT IS ACTING CRAZY WITH THE PANEL BOARD MOVING ALL AROUND WITH A LOUD BEEPING NOISE. I AM SORRY I EVER BOUGHT THIS EXPENSIVE UNIT. I HAD A CHEAP Friedrich UNIT THAT LASTED OVER 15 YEARS. THIS ONE IS NOT EVEN ONE YEAR OLD AND IS NOT WORTH A PLUG NICKEL 985-447-2032.

I may be having a problem with my 2-yr old Friedrich 8000 btu thru-the-wall air conditioner: Briefly: After it has been operating for several hours, it begins to make a single ping sound repeated at about 60 sec intervals. After this continued for some time I pulled the AC plug. But the pings continued. Then, after about ten minutes, a few musical notes were heard and the pings stopped. Can you tell me what's going on and whether this is normal. Or is it a signal that the filter needs replacement or that some other maintenance is
needed? (This is the first time this has happened in two years,)

I am having the same issues with mine. Mine is not even a year old. I wish i would never had bought the darn thing. Music sounds on the panel board in the night hours . Repair man came one time and told me oh i had to sleep with the bedroom door open to make it run right. We feel like we wasted our $400. And something dollar on a piece of junk ! i know just what you are feeling there us to.

I called tech support I manage a building of 120 apts. Most of our units are Friedrich 76% wallmaster PH15K5SB-3, the units work ok, but once the rotary switch part 25038203 get burn, the entire unit doesn't work, the sad reality is that part is not longer fabricated, l called at 210-546-0550 aparently "customer" service, but made me feel that l was begging for charities, l need to know were l can get that particular part, l can not replace a good working unit, just because we trust the brand name, and because a part as delicate as this starter for the PTAC is not longer available, need to know what are my options, and l would like some one without actitude, professional, and with the intention to back up, a brand we trust once, give us some information

Bought new 70 Pint Friedrich Dehumidifier and I' am using it in my basement trying to keep my walls dry and mold out. My question is that I do not have a foggy idea of what to set it at, would it be 50, 60, 70, etc. Could you shed some light on this for me. I have central air in the house and it has ducts in my basement to also distribute air from the central A/C. Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated. I have it set at 50 now. Thanks.
