The Dubai Pharmacy College – DPC Dubai is the first pharmacy institution in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai Pharmacy College – DPC Dubai was established in 1992 by Dubai philanthropist Haji Saeed Bin Ahmed Al Lootah. In 2005, it won the Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme award for education presented by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The Central Library, housed in Dubai Medical College adjacent to Dubai Pharmacy College – DPC Dubai offers an excellent environment for study. Instructions in the use of the library are available to students at various stages of study. The library opening hours are arranged to meet student’s need.
The physical facilities in the library are excellent where adequate space is given for housing the collection of books and journals. In the library WHO booklets, medical and pharmaceutical references in Arabic language, dictionaries, Indexes, lists of periodicals and audiovisuals are also available. There is a large reading room which provides seating to students for studying. Students have access to computer terminals to search on-line catalogs, databases, and other information systems. The library is also equipped with photocopying facility for photocopying library material of students.
There is a very large spacious hostel building just opposite to Dubai Pharmacy College – DPC Dubai. The hostel provides shared and single room for students as per their choice. The hostel has well furnished bedrooms, dining room, study room and all the required facilities. Students can obtain advice on accommodation from the hostel Supervisor.
Dubai Pharmacy College – DPC Dubai has special minibuses for transportation of the students from their residence in Sharjah, Ajman, Dubai and Hostel to the College and back to their respective destinations. These buses are fully air-conditioned and quite comfortable.
The Computer Laboratory is helpful in teaching of English language, computer science, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical care and clinical pharmacy courses. The Computer Laboratory is well equipped with thirty three computers having Internet connections and thirty three auditory systems. Besides this Computer Laboratory, Dubai Pharmacy College – DPC Dubai enjoys full technical guidance, support and knowhow from the Information technology (IT) department, which is its sister organization and is adjacent to DPC premises.
The aims of the teaching methodology, which the Dubai Pharmacy College – DPC Dubai follows, are to stimulate the students and faculties to participate more actively in the learning process by thinking and organizing the scientific material independently and by integrating information from several sources. These methodologies are also utilized to enhance the critical thinking skills of the students.
Professional Practice Experience (PPE) in pharmacy education is rapidly gaining recognition as it enriches undergraduate curriculum and bridges theory to application. Professional Practice Experience, being an integral part of Dubai Pharmacy College – DPC Dubai education program, has been given more weightage in the present curriculum and the number of hours has been raised to 1400, to be distributed as follows: Professional Practice Experience in Community Pharmacy (PPE001) for not less than 300 hrs. Professional Practice Experience on Pharmaceutical Industry (PPE002) for not less than 100 hrs. Professional Practice Experience in Hospitals (PPE003) for not less than 1000 hrs.
