Al Filreis is an Author, Host and Professor of English at the University of Pennsylvania. He was born in 1956. He is the co-founder of PennSound (2003) which is a large collection of recordings of poets reading their own poetry. He is also the founder of Writers House (1995), an organization devoted to creative writing and the literary arts. Al Filreis has written many books that include Modernism from Right to Left, Wallace Stevens and the Actual World, Secretaries of the Moon etc. He can be reached at @Afilreis on twitter.
