Oriental Institute of Science and Technology – OIST Jabalpur was established in 2008. The Institute, managed by the central monitoring authority at Bhopal and a pool of dedicated professionals at Jabalpur, is rapidly developing itself in the foot-prints of its parent College OIST, Bhopal.

With this view, the 15 year old establishment the Oriental Group, has stretched beyond Bhopal and reached out to the cities of Indore & Jabalpur. Ably managed by the central monitoring authority at Bhopal and a pool of dedicated professionals at Jabalpur, the twin Institutes OIST & OEC, have developed at a rapid pace, to match upto Oriental standards. At the onset of the session, an internally generated, e-document, Student Reference Manual is accessed by the students. This comprises lecture guidelines, books to refer and detailed academic calendar.
A centralized evaluation scheme of Oriental Institute of Science and Technology – OIST Jabalpur and periodic faculty development programs ensure uniform compatibility of the students & faculty throughout the Group. Oriental Institute of Science and Technology – OIST Jabalpur is located in Andhua, New Katni- Nagpur ByPass Road, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Library of Oriental Institute of Science and Technology – OIST Jabalpur serves as a resource center and aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for faculty and students of the institute and provides an efficient dissemination of knowledge. OGI aims for it to be best among engineering college libraries in the country. OIST Library functions in co-ordination with the Central Library. The complete Library of Oriental Institute of Science and Technology – OIST Jabalpur has been converted into digital Library. Issue and return of books are carried out through bar code reader for which students have been given bar codes. With this facility, issue and return of books are carried out within seconds. 10 National and 2 International Journal per branch available in the college.
Oriental Institute of Science and Technology – OIST Jabalpur runs a Book Bank intended to assist students, from the economically weaker sections of society, by giving text books on loan to deserving students for the whole academic semester according to the rules framed for the purpose. A nominal onetime fee is charged towards book-bank membership. Students are provided with 5 reference books, which are recommended by the university, per semester.
Canteen facility of Oriental Institute of Science and Technology – OIST Jabalpur has been functioning at the center of the college. It provides good refreshment to the students and staff of the college at approved rates. Green Campus of Oriental Institute of Science and Technology – OIST Jabalpur keeping environmental requirement in mind a total of 30,000 saplings have been planted in the entire campus, besides, four gardens within the building have been already developed.
