Mr. Paul Sergeant On Phone To Citibank Thailand Service
Hi Citibank
Really shocked today to learn that I can not pay my credit card bill by electronic transfer, but instead need to bring cash into the bank/AIS. This is - at best - really inconvenient, and at worst impossible as I travel quite extensively. This was not explained to me at the time of applying for my card and to be honest electronic payment of bill sis such a 'normal' function in modern banking that it is really a shock that you can not provide this basic function. Hard to imagine a good reason why not. The assistant at the bank tells me that it is normal for people to come into the bank to hand over up to 1, 000, 000 THB in cash for credit card bills. Old fashioned banking at it's worst. Very disappointing form an 'International' bank. I would not have applied had i understood this.
