Always the same response a busy tone, a automated message stating"we are experiencing high call volume, please try your call again later"
It's impossible to get through at the local dhs office they pick up the phone and hang up or they simply do not answer It's pure laziness. I'm thinking a call to my congressman is in order or better yet the attorney general(us) let's see how this looks on dhs(Wayne County, Lansing ect). BOTTOM LINE. MDHS is terrible the caseworkers are lazy to say the least and have NO compassion for people at all. The CPS workers are as bad as the assistance program, they lack education big time and are lazy which explains why kids are getting killed they remove kids from a home and leave them in a worse situation truly higher education level is extremely important.

Parents who are trying to better their childs education and lives by giving that extra help if they can while they can should not have to sacrifice more than they already are.

I've been trying to get answers from case worker Cooper since December 5th 2015. I was told by her that she didn't have to give an answer on why I'm going through an issues that Lansing judge Feldman have me on my behalf in this matter. He stated within ten days to do what he said. Every time I go into the office I'm treated unfair and the staff is very disrespectful. It has been almost a month I filed for food assistance on my bridges and no response my worker rescheduled me and she never called me my case was dropped 1031006810001 ms Holmes has not returned my calls her is 313-937-5262 I called her mailbox it was full I called her supervisor she didn't return my call and her supervisor and she didn't call back either I am on a walker my I have to go to the doctor regularly and do not appreciate going to store and getting turned away for food and have to worry about food person that took me wanted to loan me money to pay for my groceries I would of done it, but I already borrowed 500. 00 for food.
