Tata Motors Ltd and EDC Ltd, but commenced operations in 1982 as Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company Limited. The corporation has presently two major manufacturing plants, the main plant is located in
Honda Sattari, Goa for Sheet Metal stampings and assemblies for automobiles, while the second plant is in Bhuimpal, Sattari, Goa for Bus Bodies Manufacturing. On the other hand, Automobile Corporation of Goa Ltd has another two units which is known as Bhuimpal Pressing unit (Bhuimpal - Sattari-Goa) and Jejuri Pressing unit, (Jejuri, Pune, Maharashtra). Both units are working in manufacturing of Sheet metal stampings and assemblies. In the buses section, it produce bus bodies for all types of buses like luxury buses, standard buses,
